Turkish Lamp Workshop (may)
Create your own stunning Turkish Mini Moon Lamp in this colourful and creative workshop. Guided step by step, you’ll learn how to decorate your lamp using beautifully cut pieces of glass and beads, working from provided templates or creating your own unique design.
Your finished lamp will stand approximately 15 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide and features a durable metal frame made from zamak – a blend of zinc, aluminium, copper and magnesium with a special coating to prevent rust. Each lamp includes full wiring, a UK plug and an LED bulb.
Once you’ve completed the mosaic stage, your lamp will need to dry for around 12 hours before grouting. You can either take the grout home to finish the final step yourself, or return to Coldharbour Mill on Saturday 11th April at 10:30am to complete the grouting with guidance from local artist Nicky Farrell.
No experience is required, making this workshop perfect for beginners. All materials are provided. Children aged 12 and above are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
